The Senior Classroom participated in the Our World Irish Aid Awards this year. The theme was 'For People and Planet'. After a lot of discussion, we decided to concentrate on Ethiopia and how the lives of children there compare to our own lives and things that are being done to help. We decided to create a comic to display our learning and understand, and we invented out own superhero called Captain Irish Aid. The title of our project was called "For People and Planet: The Adventures of Captain Irish Aid in Ethiopia". Our project was very well received and we were shortlisted as one of fifteen regional finalists. We received a wonderful plaque for our achievement. Well done to everyone involved. Yet more success for our wonderful school.
