Here in St. Michael's we are aiming to be the healthiest school in Ireland.
We already have a terrific reputation for our 'Healthy Lunches'. While we take it for granted that we don't bring in sweet things for lunch and only drink milk or water with our food,  visitors are amazed at how healthy we are and how all the pupils only eat healthy food.
We also make sure to keep our bodies fit and healthy.
In the Junior room the children all take part in '10 @ 10 2 10'. That's where we all do some physical exercise at ten to ten for ten minutes.
In the Senior room we like to run laps of the school.
Do you know that 10 laps of the school is just under 1KM? We do because we run it every day.
This year our focus it on 'Mental Health'. In the Senior room the pupils took part in Monaghan Mental Health's 'Keep Calm and Hug a Tree' and four of us won prizes! In the Junior room we are just as busy keeping our minds healthy.
Mrs. Treanor looks after our Health Promoting Schools along with the committee of pupils.
Earlier this year Mrs. Treanor asked a nurse to come in and talk to us about keeping our mouths and teeth clean and healthy and everyone in the school had to learn about brushing our teeth and avoiding sugary foods. When the nurse came back we all got certificates because we had learned so much.
And we mustn't forget to thank the parents who pack our healthy lunches for us.
