Rackwallace Photograph Competition.
St. Michael’s National School is celebrating its 90th Birthday this year and are filling the year with fun activities to mark the anniversary.
The theme we have chosen for our birthday is: ‘90 years at the heart of the community, 90 years in the hearts of the community’.
The latest idea is a photograph competition. The school is inviting past pupils, pupils and future pupils to take photographs of family groups who have a connection with the school. Some families have grandparents, parents and grandchildren have attended the school. And other families have groups of cousins who have attended, do attend or will attend the school. The school is hoping to gather a large collection of these photographs.
The photographs will be displayed in the school and, later on, at an event we hope to run in the Community Centre.
There will be a prize for one family which will be chosen at random.
We haven’t forgotten the children in the school who are the first to attend St. Michael’s, they are invited to submit a photo of themselves wearing the school uniform in an unusual place or pose and send it to the school by Friday 12th April.
The email for submissions is: [email protected]
